First Week of Training

Today is Friday and pretty much concludes my first week of this new chapter in my life.  I have been able to communicate with family back home which always makes it easier to deal with the separation issue.   The first week was in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  I had to attend in processing, orientation, and training, its been rather boring.

Here are some random pictures that I took while driving through "Garden of The Gods" park in Colorado Springs.  It was quite a sight, a lot of animals roaming around and great scenic views.  I think they are getting me ready for the mountains in AFG.  

I am planning on hopefully going to see pikes peak w/ an elevation of 14K feet.  We'll see how that goes, I feel a bit under the weather and have already taken some NyQuil.
